The Millanderhof in the idyllic city of Brixen in the Eisacktal Valley in South Tyrol welcomes its guests with absolute comfort. Whether you are a sports team, a conference attendee, a family, a business traveler, or a holiday guest: we offer the perfect surroundings for all of you! Our cosy rooms for one to five people are comfortably furnished and offer a pleasant atmosphere to relax and unwind. In the morning, we pamper our guests with a delicious breakfast for a great start to the day. In the evening, as part of half board, local and international delicacies await you, and you can always get refreshing drinks at our in-house bar.
Due to its central position, the Millanderhof is the perfect starting point for all our guests – independently of what leads you to Brixen. Its strategic position makes it easy to reach from the highway, but also from the train station you can arrive here in a few minutes. The city center of Brixen with its beautiful shops and inviting bars and restaurants is easy to reach by foot and it will take you no more than a 10 minutes’ walk to get to the popular leisure mountain Plose, where hiking adventures await you in summer and prepared slopes in winter. Three generations, one goal
The history of Millanderhof
In 1964, at the young age of 20 years, the brothers Michael and Markus took over the hotel Millanderhof, which was constructed by their parents. In 2004, they expanded the house, making sure to maintain the friendly atmosphere. Millanderhof became more modern and comfortable, but the traditional South Tyrolean hospitality was preserved. We try our best to make you feel at home during your stay! The whole Knapp family contributes to this common goal: Markus and his wife Renate take care of the guests’ needs with the help of their three daughters Katharina, Annalena, and Emma, while Michael can be found in the kitchen, where he prepares delicious meals.

To meet all our guest’s needs, at Millanderhof you can enjoy your breakfast already at 6:30 in the morning: enjoy your start to the day to be full of good energy for business appointments or sports activities. On our breakfast buffet, there is something for every taste. Bread fresh from the oven, cold cuts and cheese, jam and spreads, fresh eggs, different cereals, home-made cakes, and juices, tea, and coffee!

Sustainable holidays at Millanderhof
At Millanderhof, we value our planet and try to handle its resources sustainably. For this reason, when preparing the meals, we use almost only regional and seasonal products. Furthermore, we produce our own solar energy, which we also use for the charging stations of the electric cars. When choosing our cleaning products, we prefer those respecting the latest standards, making our hygiene efficient and sustainable. Thanks to all those precautions, we were able to obtain a sustainability certificate for our hotel.

An active holiday in South Tyrol
Summer in South Tyrol is full of surprises! Hotel Millanderhof is a great starting point for many different hikes and leisure activities on the Plose, the local mountain of Brixen. Also, beautiful hiking paths for families await you here, for example the popular WoodyWalk. Furthermore, the Dolomite valley Villnöss can be reached with a short drive and represents a true paradise for mountain lovers. For an easier leisure program, the Karlspromenade path is located right next to the hotel: here, you can go for beautiful, flat walks. Furthermore, our guests get free access to the Acquarena indoor and outdoor pools to enjoy a relaxed day.

Between slopes and Christmas markets
Winter in the Eisacktal is filled with adventures as well. The local mountain of Brixen, the Plose, can be reached easily without a car from our hotel. Here, you will find perfectly prepared slopes, the toboggan run RudiRun, and cosy mountain huts to stop, warm up, and refresh yourself. In the Eisacktal, you also have the possibility to go cross-country skiing, for example on the beautiful panoramic trails of the Lüsen and Rodeneck Alp. Furthermore, from Millanderhof you can reach the Gröden Valley in no time, where the famous slopes surrounded by the Dolomites await you. If you happen to be in Brixen during Christmas time, you should definitely visit the Christmas market on the city’s cathedral square to enjoy the festive atmosphere.

However, who wants to experience something in Brixen, does not need to practice any mountain sport. The idyllic alpine city itself offers many cultural highlights as well. Why don’t you go for a walk in the city’s pedestrian zone in the historic center, exploring beautiful shops and local boutiques, or visit the bishop’s palace with its artistic and historic value, Neustift Abbey - the biggest abbey in the Tyrol - or the fortress of Franzensfeste dating back to the 19th century. Or pay one of the near cities Klausen, Sterzing, Bozen or Merana visit - it’s worth it!

The most important questions at a glance
- On the day of arrival, your room will be available from 1 p.m. We kindly ask you to leave your room by 11 a.m.on the day of departure. If you arrive later than 8 p.m., we ask you to call us and let us know.
- Dogs are welcome at Millanderhof.For the final cleaning, we charge 25€.
- We are a non-smoking house. There is a smoking ban in all public rooms. You can smoke outdoors.
- To be able to guarantee your booking, we ask you to provide a valid credit card number and the expiry date.
- There are no cancellation costs until 7 days before your arrival.
- You are welcome to pay your bill by EC card / ATM / cash / credit card or cash (except American Express and Diners).
- Unfortunately, it’s not always possibleto guarantee a specific floor, position, or room number within the same room category.
- For holiday guests, we offer the ideal starting point for hikes and ski days at Plose.Familiesappreciate the family services and the playroom.Business guests choose us for the easy arrival, breakfast from 6:30 a.m., the free parking space, and our position in proximity to the big companies of Brixen.Congress guests like the proximity to the conference venues and the free bikes.Sports groups love the training facilities nearby and the proximity to the city center.
- For single occupancy of a double room, we charge a supplement of- 30% per day between January 1st and August 4th as well as August 29th and December 1st.- 100% per day between August 5th and 28th as well as December 12th and January 1st.
- Yes, for adding a baby bed in their parents’ room, we charge 10€ a day.
- On reservation, you can park your car in our garage for the time of your stay at the price of 10€.
- Yes, our chef Michael is a certified nutritionist and will prepare dishes for you.
- Yes, we happily provide a ski room with boot dryer.
- Yes, you can rent a bike free of charge. If you bring your own bike, you can leave it in a save depot and we also provide the equipment to repair your bicycle.
- Yes, we have an event room which can also be booked for business meetings or conferences.
- Yes, we provide a charging station for your electric car.
- Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer half board. However, there are restaurants / pizzerias in the immediate vicinity with which we co-operate.
